Dear Democrats with Disabilities,

The DNC is working hard to prepare for the 2020 Election Cycle and the Disability Council is helping to spread the word about important updates. Our state Democratic Parties are also hiring all across the country, and we’re looking for talented Democrats to help fill those roles. You can find all the open positions at our state parties here.

The Democratic Party is also seeking requests for proposals for social and video support to amplify our surrogate and influencer program. Click here for more details.

Organize a Debate Watch Party Using Mobilize America

We think the 2020 Democratic primary debates are the best, first organizing opportunity that we have of the presidential election cycle and we are excited for the debates. The first debate will be in Miami, FL on June 26th and 27th – but you can join us from anywhere by hosting a Democratic Debate Watch Party!

For the Democratic primary debates the DNC is offering activists like you access to our event hosting tool called Mobilize America so you can brand your watch party and use this technology to collect and track RSVP’s.

If you host your event using Mobilize America it will also show up on our national dashboard when people search for activities in their area code. To start the process click here and you’ll be taken to a form where you can sign up and submit an event. We’ve already loaded in an event description and graphic to keep things super easy!

Once you create your watch party event, be sure to share it far and wide with your networks to increase attendance. We will also be providing training for hosts and other resources so you can be best prepared to organize a successful Democratic Debate Watch Party!

Let me know if you are hosting a watch party by emailing jacksont@dnc.org so I can offer you help and assist you in promoting your event on social media.

REV UP: National Disability Voter Registration Week June 15-19, 2019

Voter registration drives are a great way to promote community involvement and civic participation across the country. There are many issues that Americans with disabilities are passionate about. The first step is to help your community get registered to vote!

The REV UP Campaign coordinates National Disability Voter Registration Week (NDVRW) each year on the third week of July to increase the political power of people with disabilities while also engaging candidates and the media. We invite you to join the REV UP network in hosting or joining a voter registration event this July! Please submit information about your event through this form: https://aapd.kindful.com/register/rev-up-events.

Thank you for your activism to help elect Democrats and make the Democratic party more accessible for Americans with disabilities!

Lead on,

Ted Jackson
