Here's the Plan
Voter-2-VoterGet Out the Vote Project
This year’s election is about saving our country from the destructive storm that threatens to destroy our “Ship of State.” People’s health, jobs, safety and lives depend upon our efforts.
Political research has shown that the most effective way to get people to vote is through person-to-person contact and it is doubly effective if the people are neighbors or acquaintances. In this project, we plan to reach out by making 3 or 4 contacts with Democrats and Democratic leaning Unaffiliated voters in our neighborhoods who do not consistently vote, especially in mid-term elections. These are “Very Important Voters” because, in this election, if they vote, our candidates will win.
We are very fortunate to have outstanding candidates on our Democratic ticket. Our plan to get people to the polls to elect these candidates will require much planning and effort, but most of all it will require a large number of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about Turning this Ship Around.
We need Volunteers who will:
Attend a training session at the end of August and choose a manageable number (between 3-15) of “Very Important Voters” who are neighbors or acquaintances. We will give you sample scripts and all the tools you need for simple, successful interactions.
During September and October, on your own schedule, make 3-4 contacts with these voters by phone calls, postcards and one-on-one conversations to make sure theirvoter registration info is correct, that they have the information they need about voting and the candidates and finally, that they vote in Early Voting.

Rep. John Lewis "Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
